You are joining thousands who are concerned about people’s access to accurate information, so they may make informed choices for their healthcare.
We congratulate you for taking the time and effort to do so.
There is one small step that will multiply your effort 10 or 100 times: will you share your participation with others?
In order to reach the 100,000 signatures needed, advocates like you must share this petition with as many of your friends as possible. In fact, you may be surprised by how much influence you have when you do so, and how many other people will thank you for what they learn and are empowered to do through it.
You can share this link on Facebook, Twitter, or by email. Also, don’t hesitate to tell your physicians about it; they need to know, because this information will help them as well. If you need help to discuss the real effective rates of FABMs with them, download this brochure that was designed for medical professionals and take it to them.
We have the power to move the CDC to make a change that will help so many women and couples! But we have to act today.
Here are a few messages you can use to share:
Facebook or email:
“I just signed this petition asking the CDC to update their website on the “effectiveness of contraception,” which misrepresents the actual effectiveness of modern natural methods called Fertility Awareness Based Methods. These methods have no side effects at all and are highly effective. But because of a flawed study, millions of women don’t think they should use them, and doctors are not informed either. Please read this petition and join our movement https://petitions.leslignesbougent.org/cdc/scriptmedical/

In order to get heard by the CDC, we have to reach 100,000 or more signatures. But when we do we will have access to legislators who will help us. And they will. We have already spoken to some US Congress staff who are very concerned about this topic. With your help, we guarantee you that we can get this change to happen.
Now is the time to share. Please don’t wait. It takes seconds to copy and paste this message in your favorite social media channel, or to email your friends.
Thank you again. We’re excited about the changes that are coming where all women are empowered to know the way their body really works and how to chart their cycle, and are prepared to use these methods for family planning if they so choose.
